This guide gives the contact details of the Embassy of Togo in New Delhi, its head of mission and national day, and the consular and travel information contained in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) brief of April 2026. Contact details are taken from the MEA Protocol Division register, read on 24 September 2026.

The Embassy of Togo in New Delhi

According to the MEA brief of April 2026, Togo opened its Embassy in New Delhi in 2010, and the Embassy has since been headed by a Chargé d'Affaires. The senior diplomatic Advisor to the President of Togo, Mr KOFFI Esaw, visited India in October 2010 in connection with the inauguration of the resident mission.

The register gives the Embassy's details as follows:

  • Address: B-3/6, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi - 110057
  • Telephone: +91-11-41037036
  • Email: ambatogonewdelhi@gmail.com
  • Website: none listed in the register

The register does not give office hours or a list of services, and this guide does not provide them. Readers should telephone or email the Embassy to confirm how it receives visitors and handles applications.

These details are as recorded in the register on 24 September 2026. Telephone numbers and email addresses of missions can change, and the MEA Protocol Division register is the official Indian record to check against if the details above no longer work.

Head of mission

The register lists the head of mission as Mr. Yawo Edem Akpemado, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. This matches the brief's statement that the Embassy has been headed by a Chargé d'Affaires since it opened.

Consulates and honorary consulates

The register lists no consulates and no honorary consulates of Togo in India. All enquiries should therefore be addressed to the Embassy in New Delhi, whichever Indian city the enquiry comes from.

National day

Togo's national day is 27 April.

India's Embassy in Togo

India opened its Embassy in Togo on 3 September 2020. Togolese nationals planning travel to India, and Indian nationals living in or visiting Togo, can approach it for official information from the Indian side. For Indian nationals in Togo, the brief also records a community body, the Indian Association of Togo, which is described in the culture article.

Visa exemption for official passports

On 27 June 2024, during Foreign Office Consultations in Lomé, India and Togo signed an Agreement on Reciprocal Visa Exemption for holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service Passports. The brief also refers to it as an Agreement on Waiver of Visa to Diplomatic and Official/Service Passport Holders. It applies to holders of those categories of passport only. The agreement was signed during the visit to Togo of a delegation led by Additional Secretary (C&WA) Shri Sevala Naik Mude, when an MoU on Foreign Office Consultations was also signed.

Other visas and travel

The brief does not describe visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports travelling in either direction, e-visa arrangements, fees or processing times.

Readers should check current requirements with the Embassy of Togo in New Delhi before travelling to Togo, and with India's Embassy in Togo before travelling to India. Requirements can change, and only the missions can confirm what applies to a particular trip.

Business and study enquiries

Business visitors will find the India-Togo Business Forum and Togo's participation in CII-EXIM Bank Conclaves described in the trade article of this guide. Students will find the number of ICCR scholarship slots available to Togo in the culture and education article.

A note on honorary consuls

The register lists no honorary consuls of Togo in India. Honorary consuls, where a country appoints them, have limited powers. For Togo, all visa, passport and other consular requirements should be confirmed directly with the Embassy in New Delhi.
