About Diplo
An independent directory of the foreign missions in India, built from official records, for the people who need to reach them.
India hosts more than 160 foreign embassies and high commissions in New Delhi and several hundred consulates and honorary consulates across the country. The information people need about them is scattered, often out of date and sometimes simply wrong.
Diplo brings it together. Every country page starts from the official register kept by the Protocol Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. Names of office holders are shown only after we confirm them with a second source, such as the record of an ambassador presenting credentials to the President of India or the mission's own website. Read how we verify.
What you can do here
- Find verified contact details for any mission, consulate or international organisation.
- Follow the countries you care about and receive their events and notices by email, privately.
- Register for public events published by missions.
- Read India's relations with each country in the country guides and topic guides.
- Find a reviewed translator or interpreter, or jobs and tenders posted by missions.
Open about its data

For missions
Missions can claim their page at no cost to publish events and updates, send private invitations and receive enquiries without publishing staff email addresses. How it works.
Independence
Diplo is an independent platform. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with the Ministry of External Affairs or with any foreign government. Diplo is politically neutral: it carries no comments or debate, and it treats every mission the same way.
