This article gives the contact details of the Embassy of Mali in New Delhi, the Indian cities where Mali has honorary consulates, Mali's head of mission and national day, and the travel-related information contained in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) bilateral brief of April 2026. The contact details, head of mission and consular list are taken from the MEA Protocol Division register, read on 24 September 2026.

According to the MEA brief of April 2026, Mali opened its Embassy in New Delhi in August 2009. The register gives the Embassy's details as:

The register lists no office hours or services, and none are given here. Readers should telephone or email the Embassy, or consult its website, to confirm how it receives visitors and applications.
These details are as recorded on 24 September 2026. Telephone numbers, email addresses and office holders can change, and the MEA Protocol Division register is the official Indian record to check them against.
Head of mission
Mali is represented in India at the level of an Embassy. The register lists the head of mission as H.E. Brig. Gen. Felix Diallo, Ambassador, as of 24 September 2026.
Honorary consulates
Mali has no career consulates in India, according to the register. It lists honorary consulates of Mali in three Indian cities:
- Bengaluru
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
The register does not set out the area each honorary consulate covers or the services it provides. Readers outside Delhi should confirm with the Embassy which office can help with their enquiry before visiting one of these consulates.
National day
Mali's national day is 22 September (Independence Day).
India's Embassy in Bamako
India's Embassy in Bamako is the Indian government's resident mission in Mali. Indian nationals living in or visiting Mali, and Malian nationals seeking official information from the Indian side, can approach it. The brief does not give its address or contact details, which should be obtained from official Indian government sources.
The brief records that the Embassy works with Malian ministries and agencies on public events. With the support of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), it runs weekly yoga classes at the chancery, which the brief presents as promoting yoga as a health practice in Mali. It also worked with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Confederation of Indian Industry on the business delegation that visited Mali in October 2025.
Travel within Mali
The brief states that the northern parts of Mali, namely Timbuktu, Gao and Kidal, are popular tourist centres, but that access to them has been restricted because of jihadist attacks since 2012. Anyone considering travel to these areas should first seek current official advice, including from the Embassy of Mali in New Delhi.
Visas and consular matters
The MEA brief contains no information on visa requirements, e-visas, consular procedures or air connections between India and Mali. This guide therefore gives no visa fees, processing times or eligibility rules.
Indian nationals planning travel to Mali should check current requirements with the Embassy of Mali in New Delhi. Malian nationals planning travel to India, including students taking up scholarships and officials attending ITEC training courses, should check current requirements with India's Embassy in Bamako.
Honorary consuls
Honorary consuls have limited powers and offer only some of the services of an embassy. Visa, passport and other consular requirements should always be confirmed directly with the Embassy of Mali in New Delhi before an application is made or travel is booked.
